Be Valiant, Kick Out Racism
Port Vale FC are pleased to announce we are now selling the Partnership Approach to Racism in North Staffordshire (PARINS) anti-racism wristbands at the club shop. The wristbands in the colours of Port Vale cost only £1 and all proceeds will be donated to the PARINS campaign. The club will encourage fans to sign up to the PARINS anti-racist petition when they purchase a wristband.

Port Vale FC and its ground-breaking anti-racism campaign 'Valiants Against Racism' have been working closely with PARINS on a range of issues over the last two years. Port Vale players, too, have offered their support for the campaign.
Vale's Trinidadian International, Chris Birchall comments: 'I think it's very important that people sign up to the campaign and I think we as players have a role to play in that."
Vale striker Nathan Lowndes added: "If people see their favourite players wearing wristbands and speaking out against racism, that is going to encourage them to take a stand as well.
"It's important that players make a contribution to get the message out there. Port Vale are a community club and a family club tackling racism is a part of that."
The Valiants Against Racism campaign sold around 300 wristbands to fans at the Vale Open Day.
Chair of VAR, Steve Bradbury comments 'The wristbands were immediately popular because they represent an important cause and because they are in Vale colours of black, white and amber. The fact the club are supporting this campaign is very important and sends out a positive message to the wider community about Port Vale Football Club and its fans'

Bradbury adds: 'The response of fans to the VAR stall, exhibition and display at the Open Day was fantastic. I just want to say thank-you to every-one. We have been working quietly behind the scenes for two years now and the overwhelmingly supportive comments made by fans on Sunday has given us a real boost. The club and its fans are doing their best to establish Port Vale as a real community club and the VAR campaign is an important part of that set-up. I'd encourage all fans to show your support for the campaign against racism and for the club by purchasing wristbands and wearing them at matches'.
