Martin Foyle was naturally disappointed following last night's exit from the Carling Cup and says he now needs to get the lads rested up for the trip to Yeovil on Saturday.

He said: "The game should have been dead and buried in the first half. We had enough chances to win three or four games but we couldn't stick the ball in the back of the net.

"The goal we conceded was a poor goal. It was just hoofed from back to front and we got caught a little bit - the communication between 'keeper and centre half was poor - and the ball was in the back of the net.

"Then we settled down and started playing some good stuff and got back into the game. Again we had chance after chance but just couldn't kill it off.

"Once you start going into extra time tired legs start to come into it and then penalties are a farce. We had the luck last year and this year we haven't had the luck.

"In general play our passing was a little bit slow, and in midfield we didn't get the ball out wide which we have been working on. I am disappointed to go out of the cup because we shouldn't be losing to them.

"But give them credit, they banked in at the right times. I don't think they created that many chances in the first ninety minutes, but in the second half of extra time they had a couple of attacks when they broke away.

"Now we go to Yeovil for what will be a tricky game and I have just got to get the lads rested up because we could have done without the extra time last night."
