Port Vale will round off their campaign away at Southend on Saturday and they will be hoping for win.
It's been a tough season for the Valiants which has resulted in relegation to League Two. However, they won't finish bottom of League One having occupied the spot for more often than not since Christmas.
Southend sit in the play-off places, 5th in League One with 75 points, while Vale sit 23rd with just 37 points.
Southend have an impressive home record having won 18, drawn seven and lost seven at Roots Hall across all competitions this season.
The previous meeting at Roots Hall came in the 2005/06 season where Vale ran out 2-1 winners down in Essex with two goals from Nathan Lowndes on the opening day of the season.
The pair met at ValePark in September. The Shrimpers won 2-1 with goals from Leon Clarke and Alan McCormack, with Vale's effort coming in the form of a Luke Rodgers penalty in Dean Glover's first game as caretaker manager.
There is little team news from Roots Hall. Hal-Robson Kanu returned to training last week following an Achilles injury but could miss out on this game. Che Wilson, Lewis Hunt and Ritchie Foran have suffered with long-term injuries in the from of an Achilles, hernia and knee injuries respectively and will miss the end-of-season clash.
Southend have a Chelsea youngster on loan but he will miss the game as his loan spell runs out on the 2nd May that means he will also miss any play-off games Southend are set to be involved in.
Boss Steve Tilson will be missing from the touchline as he serves the final game of his two-match ban following an incident at Leyton Orient earlier in the season.
They will have striker Lee Barnard available. The former Crewe loanee will be keen to add to his goal tally.
The Valiants will be reunited with a former face in the Peter Clarke, the defender spent time on-loan at ValePark in the 2002/03 season. He is the best friend of George Pilkington and will no doubt be wishing him well as he plays his last game for the Valiants.
Vale are without striker Luke Rodgers. Youngster Danny Glover is proving a worthy replacement and scored his first senior goal at home to Northampton last weekend.
Kyle Perry is set to feature as he continues to make his comeback from a short term thigh injury.
Rookie keeper Chris Martin is looking to start his third game for the Valiants, but his inclusion in the starting eleven is by no means certain as Joe Anyon has pronounced himself fit again.
For many players this will be a farewell to the club, for fans it will be a farewell to League One. It signifies the end of an era, but it's also the start of a brand new one.
