Lee Sinnott says he will join the first team squad in Uxbridge 'when the time is right' as he continues in his attempt to add to the squad.

He said: "I need to join the squad for what is essentially a bonding exercise, but there are still things to be dealt with before I can go.

"We have already spoken to Louis Dodds, who was at Vale Park earlier in the week, and we are waiting to see how that develops.

"Simon Heslop will hopefully be coming to the ground today for talks and then if I feel the time is right, I will join up with the players at Uxbridge.

"Initially Simon was due to come in yesterday, but was unable to, and I would much rather talk to him face to face than over the phone, so I have stayed behind in order to do so.

"Even if both players agree to join Port Vale, we will still have to talk to both Leicester City and Barnsley before we can take things further, but you are always hopeful you can do business."
