DANNY GLOVER
Danny Glover is prepared to play a waiting game this season as competition for places gets tough with several players competing for the role of striker.
He knows he must wait for his chance and then do all he can to keep his place, but is prepared to work hard in the mean time.
He said: "There is a lot of competition for places and I know I may have to be patient, but I don't mind where I play as long as I am playing.
"I realise I probably won't get into the starting line-up right from the start, but I am willing to work hard and hopefully when I get the opportunity I will be able to grab it with both hands.
"We were relegated last season but the huge numbers of season tickets sold has given us all a massive lift.

"It's really exciting and I just hope our supporters witness a successful season for the club and we can build on that.
"The fans have proved they are as hungry for success as we are and hopefully it will be a good season all round.
"Vale supporters can play a big part in things. We know we have to give them something to shout about, but if we do and then if they respond that, it will rub off on the team and things will start to snowball.
"They can be the twelfth man and in some games could be the difference in helping us turn a draw into a win. I am really looking forward to being part it all."
