Doncaster Rovers reached the final to be played at Wembley Stadium after eleven teams contested the Under 11s North Regional Final of a tournament organised by the Football in the Community at ValePark.

'Donny' went through via a sudden death penalty shoot-out against NottinghamForest on a sunny day in Burslem and now look forward to gracing the Wembley turf.

Teams representing Doncaster Rovers, Walsall, HuddersfieldTown, Leeds United, Tranmere Rovers, Port Vale, Oldham Athletic, Hartlepool United, Crewe Alexandra, Carlisle United and NottinghamForest all took part in what can only be described as a fantastic advert for lads' football.

The weather was perfect as the pitch was divided into three mini pitches, allowing a total of 26 matches to go ahead, with a large number of parents and other family members in attendance.
